No major updates have been released since March of 2012

We are looking forward to the release of the next generation controller to

which all of our attention is focused.   We are expecting to start production

using the next generation controller by the end of the year 2013.

A few features of the new board are:

**  Basic controller will do many standard functions, add on modules can be

plugged in for more features, thus keeping cost low if all you need is the

basic system.

**  Ethernet / network plug for access to system settings and logs via Laptop

or remotely if network has Internet connection.

** If Internet access system will call home periodically to check / update firmware.

** If Internet access changes to controller setup settings can be made remotely.

** If Internet access changes to space set points and hot water set points can

be made remotely.

** During system setup all settings currently set via a PDA (Plus many more) will

be set via a laptop or tablet PC.

** if Internet access the ability to send alarms to an Email address if system fails or goes outside normal parameters.

** Ability to speak modbus.

** Ability to drive variable compressors (fully variable)

** Ability to drive electronic expansion valve directly.

** Expanadable to more than just 4 zones.

Modified IrDA protocol to send RH, fan, and stage information to PDA.

Toolbox Program

Updated sensor data page to display set points, differentials, fan speed, humidity, and a system status summary at the bottom.

Words and icons on command page now launch tools like the icons did in previous versions making these utilities much more user friendly.

Combined DHW and AHW screens, added drop down box to switch within these screens.

Fixed max temp on hot water screen so it can't be adjusted lower then the other settings.

Removed percentages from cooling, heating, and blower screens leaving only CFM values.

Fixed security bug that would not allow you to enter Factory level until next day.

Firmware Program

Added ability to transfer firmware from Palm to Palm.

Toolbox Program

Added ability to transfer saved toolbox data from Palm to Palm.

Firmware Program

Auto import of the firmware software.  Before if you put an updated firmware program on the PDA the first thing you had to do was an import from hotsync.  This is automatic now.

Checksum added.  This feature works in the background to check the stability of the firmware before, during and after a download.  This will prevent a corrupt download into the control board.

Many small bugs fixed that are not visible.

Beefed up signal strength to temperature sensors to fix occasional sensor problems.

Humidification implemented in the heating screen to turn on or off a humidifier. (Requires an extra sensor)

Dehumidification implemented in the cooling screen to slow down the blower in the cooling mode to force the unit to dehumidify more. (Requires an extra sensor)

Blower settings added to Hardware screen.

Some slide bars changed to plus or minus buttons to speed up operation.

Some settings limited depending on other settings. (for example the AP start can not be set higher then the AD/AP stop)

Abort and cancel buttons added to stop communicating between PDA and Controller if error occurs.

Progression bar and sounds added to communication window to help estimate time remaining when up loading or downloading to controller.

A save as feature added if your trying to download a program that already exist.

Any system with version 1.0 will have a 2 hour maximum test mode if initiated from the test buttons.  After the two hours the system will exit from test mode and resume running from thermostats.  Continuous test mode can be done from the ATL toolbox program.

Firmware Program

The firmware program has no visible changes made.

ATL Toolbox Program

The ATL toolbox program was split up into two programs. You will now have the ATL toolbox program and the Log Program.

When opened the ATL Toolbox program will list all previous systems that were looked at by "date"+"time"+"system name".  This way you can view the systems data at a later date or press the open button to create a new entry.

When a new file is created you must only download from the board once by clicking the system info icon then all the  other data is updated from that download.

A new button  "Service Required Info" was added to tell the tech why the service required light was on.

When viewing the temperature sensors page a play button was added.  When pressed the PDA must be aimed at the board so the PDA can update every 5 seconds new temperature readings.  This will continue until the stop button is pressed. (Very Cool feature)

Another new button was added "System Test"  This screen (shown on bottom right) allows you to run the system from the PDA.  This includes opening and closing dampers individually, turning on and off pumps, compressors, blowers, strip heat and almost everything the board controls.  When in system test certain settings will adjust automatically.  For example when the system is set to run in stage 1 the ground loop pump and blower will be turned on also.

Logs Program (new program split from the ATL Setup)

Upon entering the logs program you will have the option of opening an existing log or creating a new log.  Logs are saved in the PDA by "system name"+ "date" + "time".

Some things were added to what is logged.  Sample log shown on right side.

Button on top right of screen will allow you to sort log entries in ascending order or descending order.

Drop down arrow will allow filtering of log entries. Option include: All, Severe, Important, Updates, & Minor.
